Northwest Missouri State University’s Jazz Ensemble and Celebration show choir will present a fall concert Thursday, Nov. 2.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Mary Linn Auditorium at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
The Jazz Ensemble, conducted by Professor of Music Dr. William Richardson, is Northwest’s premier, audition-based jazz group and performs music representing a variety of styles. It presents multiple concerts on the Northwest campus annually in addition to tours of the four-state region.
Celebration, directed by Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Adam Zrust, is a select ensemble that performs music representing a variety of styles and periods, including choreographed numbers, vocal jazz and ballads. The show choir, which performs year-round, also is known as The Madraliers, a chamber choir that presents concerts on and off campus, including the Yuletide Feaste.
